2nd Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta

We missed the first one last year, so this year mase first2 iklan die kuar in January, aku dah soh husband letak reminder dalam handphone so that kitorg tak lupe. Actually, terlupe jugak sampai la ternampak iklan die again earlier this week.

The 2nd Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta is from 18 March – 21 March 2010 at Precint 2, Putrajaya. Kalau nak tau kat mane, nie kat area government offices tu, and as of petang tadi mmg la sgt teruk traffic nye and tersangat ramailah orang disitu.

 Ramai ke tak orang?

Kitorang (husband, myself and nur) bertolak dari Kajang around 5.10 pm camtu la, sampai kt precint tu siap ngn parking keta skali pkol 6.00 pm tau! Sgt la tak tau nak parking kat mane, at least they allow to park at road side to takde la susah sgt nak park.

Mase otw, a friend of mine, si Jie tu, message and bgtau die baru je blah dari tgk belon nie and ckp sgt lah ramai orang and mase die nak blah tu baru ader satu je belon tu pon baru je nak naek. Luckily, when we were there all the balloons dah start berterbangan. I was like soo excited, x tau cane nak kate. So, dapatlah amek gambar2 hot air balloon yg tgh terbang and baru nak naik.

 

So, to those yg plan nak pegi esok, either pegi early in the morning around 8.00 am or in the afternoon around 5.30pm. Kalau lambat sgt nnti takde balloon nak tgk plak, kalau pegi tgh hari balloon tu dok kt darat je plak. Anyway, ape2 pon check their official website first. Tp kalau datang xde balloon, ader banyak activity laen and ader booth utk dilawati (but then, org pegi nak tgk hot air balloon la kot, kalau stakat nak pg booth2 je, kat aku nye convo dulu pon ader byk booth).

To mereka yg ske amek gambar plak, mmg sgt bess nak amek pics kot. Siler lah bwk kamera2 besar anda itu :). My pics above amek pakai camera hp Sony Ericsson C903 5 megapixel aku je. Ehe~

Insyaallah, esok pegi Pesta Buku kat PWTC plak.

Latest Addition To My Collection

Disclaimer sket. Mmg my collection buku2 fiction sgt besar and always bertambah-tambah, tp I buy because I enjoy reading bukannye sbb saje2 nak buat collection. Hahaha~

So, last month mase cuti CNY, husband and me telah decide utk balek ke alor star. So, as most of you already know, Alor Star nie mcm agak jauh jugak la dari KL. At least 5 hours. So, sbb aku nie mmg x ske kalau x tau ape nak buat, so I paid a visit to Kinokuniya the afternoon before kami berangkat so that dlm perjalanan ke Kedah nnti ader la buku nak bace. Turns out that sampai hari nie pon x abess2 lagi baca.  Ehe~ Btw, kalau korg keje kat tmpt aku keje, Kinokuniya KLCC nie la tmpt yg paling convenient nak beli buku :)

So hasil nye ialah…

Nanny Returns!! Sambungan kepada The Nanny Diaries yg telah dipublish quite a few years back. The Nanny Diaries jugak telah diturn into a movie of the same name starring the beautiful Scarlett Johanssen. But as always is the case, buku is definitely better than the movie.

But in the book buying madness, I’ve overlooked and it turned out that…

Ngeh!! buku tu rosak la plak. Drama queen sket. Actually, aku x kesah pon. Buku kalau lagi buruk ngn lunyai lagi I appreciate. Seriously, tak taulah knape perasaan aku camtu.

I also bought the book by Daniyal Mueenuddin entitled “In Other Rooms, Other Wonders” Yang nie blom bace lagi sbb skrang still tgh baca Nanny Returns.

2.05 in 2015

Aku nie jarang baca paper or tgk news. Tp of all days, hari2 yg aku terdengar berita kt radio or terbaca newspaper la ader news that caught my attention.

I first heard about this kt radio pagi tadi. Derang soh caller call bagi pendapat on this issue. And I read it biler petang tadi, kt tmpt aku tapau tom yam, aku baca newspaper umum yg kedai tu letak je utk bacaan customer.

The news is “Kadar Kesuburan Wanita Malaysia Dijangka Turun 2015” Ehh…what. Bukannye malaysian woman nie makin tak sihat and cannot have babies or something like that. Apparently, Malaysian woman chose not to have kids. Yang kawen muda, anak x ramai sbb keje. Yang dok layan keje x ingat, kawen lambat and then umur x sesuai to have babies. And those women yang decide langsung tannak kawen for like EVER lagi. And ader lagi la macam2 sebab ini berlaku.

So kalau ikut this news, in 2015 kadar kesuburan wanita malaysia ialah 2.05. Meaning a malaysian lady, most probably akan ader 2 orang anak je. And technically, ini x menambahkan jumlah rakyat Malaysia sbb if a woman ada 2 org anak je, that means anak2 die hanya akan replace die and husband je bukannye tambah the number of Malaysian.

If you ask me, ye la, skrang sme org dapat blaja tinggi2. Pastu kalau dah blaja tinggi2, x kan nak dok umah je jd housewife. So mesti la nak keja. Biler dah keje, dapat gaji bess2, payah la jugak nak berhenti kot. Ehe~ bess woo dapat duet sendiri, kalau nak beli handbag Gucci pon xde sape nak marah kot. Ehe~

And if you ask me again, blaja tinggi2 mane pon and gaji menggunung mane pon takkan weekend nak dok opis. So, I think most people believe that having two kids is manageable, dgn the lifestyle and not having to miss out on having a family. Tp kalau aku, ader rezeki, I want more than 2 kids. Ye la, aku ader 4 adik and since kecik2 kitorg like satu geng. Tak yah pk2 jiran nak kawan ke x, nak maen ape2 pon cukup korum. Dah tua bangka skrang pon we still do lotsa things together (like shopping, tgk movie and mengarut. Kelas2 tuition free and session2 membuat project skolah utk adik2 jangan lah citer, lg banyak). And I dont want my kids to miss out on that. Because that is priceless, regardless of how much your earn per month.

Promote Blog Lagi Satu…

Ramai orang pon dah tau (sbb aku minah kecoh kot) that we’ve (we = husband + me) bought a house. Kami sangatlah excited about everything about the house especially bab2 menghias.

Sememangnye, for as long as i can remember, i love decorating. Kecik2 mase still share bilik ngn adik2 and mase tu still dok kt cheras, i start with decorating my desk. Pastu biler dah dapat bilik sendiri, lagi la menjadi2. Kt UTP pon same, mase tu tgh giler pink, so all pink la! Skrang dah ader permanent roommate (for life!), terpaksa tone down sket my taste because my permanent roommate is a “simplistic” person rupenye.

Encik permanent roommate plak, I seriously tak tau yg die into decorating at all. Ever since the first day I met him sampailer before kitorg beli rumah, there is no impression at all that he cared about decor. Skali tup tup aje, setelah confirm beli rumah and I started talking about decorating, byk betul idea die (yg bertentangan with my ideas). Haha~

Tapi, we have the same view on one thing. We’d like to SHARE! and document our ideas, journey, pokok2, kedai-kedai and barang-barang yg interesting that we stumbled upon in the course of making a once-random-just-a-house, our home.

Hello Body, I’m Bloating

Pagi selasa aku demam, pg doktor, and doctor tu pon bg la MC. Tgh hari tu baru la makan ubat sbb dah x tahan sgt demamnye (aku x ske makan ubat, selagi bley tahan, aku tahan).

Hari rabu, aku pg keje. Actually demam tak baek lagi tp giler bosan dok umah sorang2. Pagi2 lagi dah tak tahan demam tu, so makan ler ubat demam yg doktor bagi (actually panadol tp brand laen je). Tgh hari tu makan ubat lagi, dgn harapan demam tu akan baek terus la. Skali side effect ubat tu pon dtg la. Mulut rase payau giler pastu perut rase cam bloating and cam nak kna gastrik. Pkol 7 dah dinner sbb tak tahan giler tahap kemasukan angin ke dalam perut.

Hari nie, celik mata je seblom sempat my brain kicks in, perut telah sent a message, “Hello body, I’m bloating!!”

So, sambil siap2 nak pegi keje tu, aku pon devise a plan. Dah la secara natural nye, aku nie kna makan 3 meals a day (dlm amount yg small for most people), and slalunye i have something in between meals, nie hari perut terasa nak gastrik terlebey plak, so haruslah plan extra power sket!!!

Roughly, ape aku plan telah terlaksana. Inilah schedule pemakananku for today. Taraa…

6.58 am  : ERL sampai kat stesen Salak Tinggi. Duduk je dalam tren, aku makan pisang. Sorrylah kepada passenger laen, I cannot tahan.

8.10 am  : Sampai office dah siap beli bfast. Before pegi workstation, pegi pantry dulu, buat teh o panas (my fave!!) and makan nasik goreng and telur goreng (fave also!!)

12.00 noon  : Lunch & learn session. Pizza Papa John free!!! Aku makan 2 slices and minum teh tarik (dari mesin nestle kt pantri. Aku tak pandai buat teh tarik sbb tak elok minum susu pekat byk2, so I’m glad i don’t know how, kalau x cabaran nye besar sket)

2.30 pm: Makan lagi half a slice pizza, leftover from lunch.

5.30 pm  : Perut dah buat bunyi pelik2 lagi, dah la orang nak balik nie. Before die buat hal dalam tren, baek seround teh tarik lagi and biskut sultana selai. ahaha~

7.00 pm : Dinner trus kt KL Sentral. Perut ku content (for a few hours)

9.50 pm (now)  : Perut is way better that it was this morning, tp perut telah decide “Aku nak pisang lagi,”. Ha!!

Trun pegi dapur jap amek pisang.

Little MooMoo

In November, I introduced CekKu and CekPu. Now, let’s us welcome CekKu and CekPu little brother, MooMoo.

We named him MooMoo, sbb mase die baru lahir, die nye bulu nampak macam lembu, putih and tompok2 brown. Mase tu bulu die pon cam pendek je, so it looks like macam kulit die yg kaler putih ader tompok2. Biler dah besar, tompok2 tu pon cam jadi kuning2, orange camtu, but the name sticks anyway. Mata die sgt cantik, biru gitu.

Sangat ske maen and berlari2 oke!! sooo cute. And die ader abang2 yg ske main and jaga die. Sgt responsible.

MooMoo is cat number seven for our family. :)

Selangor Says NO to Plastic!!!

 

I know that it is like old news, but now every Saturday beginning Jan 2010, is no plastic bag day in Selangor (tolong jangan confuse kat mana Selangor and kt mana KL). Ader jugak shops kt KL yg implement this, mcm Cold Storage at KLCC yang telah declare bahawa their outlet will not give plastic bags on Thursday (kalau x salah) and Saturday (definitely) unless you want to pay 20 sen per plastic bag.

Actually, I was not aware at all pon about this, skali tu pg Jusco on 9 Jan 2010 (that happens to be a Saturday) skali nampak la poster di atas neh. I was so excited, cam wahhhh tak sangka ader campaign like this. Tapi sebab kitorg tak tau, so terpaksa la beli barang2 kat supermarket tu, letak sme dlm trolley and then bawak trolley pg kt parking, letak plak dlm keta cenggitu je. Selekeh giler.

The second time, we bring our own bag (actually pau ibu nye shopping bag, ehe~). So proudly masa bayar, aku letak all my purchase dlm bag sendiri. Kesian ader these guys ahead of us in the queue yg x bawak plastic bag sendiri, that day kalau korg tak bawak plastic bag, bayar 20 sen pon die x nak bagi. Unless, beli the supermarket nye shopping bag. This company cam cube buat extra profit la plak out of a good cause. Pastu guys nie dah la beli ikan sme, so cam yucks la plak kalau nak angkat takde plastic. So derang pon beli la.

So, to those in the know, after this kalau shopping kt Selangor on Saturday, bawak lah shopping bag sendiri ye. Yang baru tahu, well now you know :) Alahai, bawak je plastic bag bese banyak2, simpan dalam poket. Lagipon skrang nie byk kedai yg fancy2 bagi carrier bag yg cam kaen tu. That one is sooooo sesuai dan bley digunakan berulang kali.

Tapi aku rase hanye big shops and supermarket je yg buat kot. I think kedai mamak kat sungai kantan tu buat cam bese je. Hrmm…tp x tau la. Anyway, kalau ader shops tak implement pon, bawak je la shopping bag sendiri and letak sme kat dlm. Kalau lama2 terbiasa la. After all, practice makes perfect :)
